After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. I made sure I had plenty of extra invitations, just in case I had to rewrite some of them, and it’s a good thing I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. I found the most lovely flower bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, and the entire wedding party looked absolutely perfect.
I wish now, with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two wedding photo albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. In fact a few of the bridesmaids and groomsmen also left to change, while others just wore swim suits under their wedding attire. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.
Everyone thought our reception tables were so beautiful with all the beach themed wedding accessories I had found for them. There were so many other beach themed accessories to choose from, along with our gorgeous wedding album. I found the cutest little beach chairs as place card holders that they can use for their favorite little photo later. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found quite a bit of accessories and decorations for our beach themed reception tables and the bride and groom table as well. Not only did I find the perfect wedding cake topper, but I also bought their beach themed crystal flutes, wine glasses, cake serving set and so much more.
A lot of our friends and family made comments about out lovely reception décor. To help add to the atmosphere, I also bought some of their beautiful gel candles and placed them on all the tables, along with a few tiki torches here and there. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed wedding photo album and remember our special day.
