Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. I made sure I had plenty of extra invitations, just in case I had to rewrite some of them, and it’s a good thing I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.
My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I wish now, with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two personalized wedding albums, instead of only one. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. When the ceremony was over, my new husband and I went to our hotel room to change into some more comfortable beach outfits. Although a few of our wedding party went home to change into their beach clothes, there were some that decided to just wear their swimsuits under their wedding clothes. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.
Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.
Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. To help add to the atmosphere, I also bought some of their beautiful gel candles and placed them on all the tables, along with a few tiki torches here and there. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed leather wedding album and remember our special day.
